Usage for Stainless Steel Pins are many. Solid Dowel type pins are mainly used for location or alignment purposes when bringing two mating components together. Some of these may be tapered or grooved.

Other types available include Spring Pins, Cotter Pins (Split Pins) and R Clips.

Material grade for pins is generally 303/304 Stainless Steel. Although some solid dowel pins may also be available in grade 316
